Waking up before the sun even came up, getting donuts and going fishing with my Dad are some of my best memories of growing up..

Chopstixs Friedegg Fridays
Old man and I. foreverandever.amen
CHopstix Friday Friedeggs..
Every Friday I'll be digging up something from the darkest dirtiest corners of my drawers. To bring to you some of my washed up over-fried moldy art from a few years back. art, sewing, zines I made, stuff from high school, screen prints, photos, shirt logos.. bla bla.
It's like going through old family photo albums. Some of it at the time I thought was the ugliest crap ever and now I have a new appreciation for it. And other stuff, I thought was way rad back then and now just is a big ball of moldy cheese. take it for what it is.

These are some photos of some necklaces I made a while back... I found random vintage jewels and other things, made them into necklaces, drew the girl taking a photo for my logo, put them in a ziplock with some sushi grass and called them Bungy Gems. I made around 100 of them and sold them to my friends at school for 20 bucks each. These are the 3 survivors. And that was the end of that story.

THis is just a random I found in my old folder from highschool. Drew the stuff on the left and the right is a magazine cut out with some sticky crap all over it...

This one is a photo of a painting I did back when I was in 8th grade. I used to paint so much, and I only have a few photos of a handful of them to show for it...
the end.

These are some purses I made back in highschool. I made them all from scratch. didn't use any patterns, nobody ever showed me, I just made them up as I went. I found all my fabric at the swaps and even managed to sell a few.. I have a lot of phases I go through... I'm compulsive.. But the one thing that stays the same is I like to make crap.
the end.

This is some art I did for the cover of a cookbook I made last year on BLURB.. with all of our family's recipes.
It's pretty simple. I just drew and colored the head and face part... and the rest I did on photoshop.
the end.

These are some drawings I did for my website a long time ago for that clothing brand Seaweed. I drew all the stuff and our good friend Joey put together the website for me. It was pretty rad at the time. I wish I still had it...

Here is some crumbled up stuff from that little clothing company I was telling you about last Friday, Seaweed. These are a couple of the shirt logos I did. The top one is a print I made from Mr. Lockwood's screen printing class, back in highschool. That guy was the best. I took Screen printing all 3 years in highschool. Rad class, rad teacher. OH, the olden golden days..

Ok. So Here's some stuff I pulled up from a while ago.. This is from when I started this little company called Seaweed. It was mostly clothing and T-shirt designs. Some of the designs I came up with I kind of liked. But, THIS stuff is for sure some of that cringe worthy stuff. It was back from when I was all about those skull and crossbones. eh. It was a phase, I guess. I've had lots of those.

This was some artwork I did for a board logo for local surfboard shaper Eric Christenson a looong time ago. He's based out of Orange County and still shaping.

Here's more from that magazine I made back in highschool, 'Pai Magazine'.
The first pic was the cover. The last photo is a page of some clothes I made from scratch. Both the Halter and the T-shirt, and also the skirt. The jeans were oversized acid washed jeans that I sewed up to fit, cut the waistline down(way down, that pic is from when brittany spears was cool. ha), and then I added a new waistline from different fabric. My mom took the photos of me wearing the stuff in our backyard and in my old room. Oh man.. I found all the different vintage fabrics for dirt cheap at the swap meet. Which would be Scotty's (my boyfriend at the time) and my ritual every single weekend. Swap meets and Izzy's bagels. 10 years later still cruisin' the swap every once in a while and eating Izzy's weekly. Some things never change. Only thing that's different now is that we're married with a 10 month old and 6 months knocked up with the second. OK.
Maybe things DOo change :/
Make sure to check back next week, for more from my old crap.
